It's not what you are doing, its that you are doing something you value.

Often times, we find ourselves tied up in commitments we aren't fully enjoying or want to be doing.  It is really a waste of life experience to realize you are wishing away time in the completion of responsibilities. There is importance in replacing activities you feel you should do, with activities that allow joy to flow out of you - regardless of how those around you value your decision. You are allowed to and have a right to and even an obligation to yourself to live the life that will maximize your experience. Not what looks to others to be of maximal value for your experience.  You are the determinant of an activity's merit.  No one sees your opportunities through the prism of your perspective.
