How many times - now that you are aware of it, have you placated that little inner desire by saying to it "We are getting there". Oh how the sense of working towards something is soothing regardless of the objective. This can be a blessing - but only when the goal is defined and progress is measurable. The problem is, is that many times our goals are only directions and our progress is only measured by "It's still possible". Don't fall into this trap of innate human fallacy. Understand when you are actually making progress compared to comforting inner desires. The latter begins to weigh down your subconscious and begins to prevent you from journeys your alternate future would have held.
